Donkey in the well
Donkey in the Well
One day a farmer's donkey fell down
into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure
out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be
covered up anyway, it just wasn't worth it to retrieve
the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all
grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey
realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement,
he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the
well and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the
donkey was doing something amazing. He
would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to
shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up.
Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the
well and trotted off!

Cycle of transformation
Cycle of Transformation
A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.
One day a small opening appeared, he sat and watched the butterfly for several
hours as it struggled to force its body through the little hole.
Then it seemed to stop making any
progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and could go no
further.
Then the man decided to help the
butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of
the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, but it had a swollen body and
small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the
butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and
expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the
butterfly spent the rest of his life crawling around with a swollen body and
shriveled wings.
It was never able to fly!
What the man in his kindness and
haste did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle
required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God’s
way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it
would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what
we need in our life.

I wish you enough
I Wish You Enough
At an airport, I overheard a father and his daughter in their last moments together. They had announced her plane's departure and standing near the door she said, "Daddy, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough too, Daddy.
They kissed good-bye and she left. He walked over towards the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see he wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on his privacy, but he welcomed me in by asking, "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?"
"Yes, I have," I replied. Saying that
brought back memories I had of expressing my love and appreciation for all my
Dad had done for me. Recognizing that his days were limited, I took the time to
tell him face to face how much he meant to me. So I knew what this man
was experiencing.
"Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?" I asked.
"I am old and she lives much too far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is, her next trip back will be for my funeral," he said.
"When you were saying good-bye I heard you say, 'I wish you enough,' may I ask what that means?"

"When you were saying good-bye I heard you say, 'I wish you enough,' may I ask what that means?"
He began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone." He paused for a moment and looking up as if trying to remember it in detail. He smiled even more. "When we said, 'I wish you enough,' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with enough good things to sustain them."
He continued and then, turning toward me, he shared the following as if he were reciting it from memory:
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough "Hellos" to get you through the final "Good-bye"

Thomas Breakwell
His name is Thomas Breakwell.
Here's some interesting details about him:
He was the first englishman to become Bahai and the first western Bahai to give Huququllah. Also he was the first to make pilgrimage to Akka.
He was taught the faith by May Bolles (Ruhiyyih Khanum's mom) at the age of 29 he declared and then he passed away 1 year later (only at the age of 30).
Abdu'l-Baha wrote a tablet for him and cried twice while he was writing it.

How my junoir youth was
Today I just finished my junior youth over video chat because I am in Niagara and my teacher is in Kitchener Canada.
Today we went deeper into the word confirmation. So we read a story about a girl named musonda and her friend Rose. Musunda wants to be a nurse and Rose wants to be a teacher but they are poor so they can't afford to go to school. So they learn what confirmation means so they work their way through life like trying to find nurses and teachers to fulfill their dreams. I got this quote saying; Work done in the spirit of service is the highest form of worship From: Romin Agahzadeh

Voice of commpassion
I heard a story about Fiorello LaGuardia who was mayor of New York City during the worst days of the Great Depression and all of WWII. He was adored by many New Yorkers who took to calling him the "Little Flower," because of his name and the fact that he was so short and
always wore a carnation in his lapel.
He was a colorful character -- he rode the New York City fire trucks, raided city "speakeasies" with the police department, took entire orphanages to baseball games and, when the New York newspapers went on strike, he got on the radio and read the Sunday funnies to the kids.
One bitterly cold night in January of 1935, the mayor turned up at a night court that served the poorest ward of the city. LaGuardia dismissed the judge for the evening and took over the bench himself. Within a few minutes, a tattered old woman was brought before him, charged with stealing a loaf of bread. She told LaGuardia that he daughter's husband had deserted her, her daughter was sick, and her two grandchildren were starving.
But the shopkeeper, from whom the bread was stolen, refused to drop the charges. "It's a real bad neighborhood, Your Honor," the man told the mayor. "She's got to be punished to teach other people around here a lesson."
LaGuardia sighed. He turned to the woman and said, "I've got to punish you. The law makes no exceptions. Ten dollars or ten days in jail." But even as he pronounced sentence, the mayor was already reaching into his pocket. He extracted a bill and tossed it into his famous hat, saying, "Here is the ten dollar fine which I now remit; and furthermore, I am going to fine everyone in this courtroom fifty cents for living in a town where a person has to steal bread so that her grandchildren can eat. Mr. Bailiff, collect the fines and give them to the defendant."
The following day, New York City newspapers reported that $47.50 was turned over to a bewildered woman who had stolen a loaf of bread to feed her starving grandchildren. Fifty cents of that amount was contributed by the grocery store owner himself, while some seventy petty criminals, people with traffic violations, and New York City policemen, each of whom had just paid fifty cents for the privilege of doing so, gave the mayor a standing ovation.
Someone beautifully said, "Sympathy sees and says, 'I'm sorry.' Compassion sees and says, 'I'll help.'" When we learn the difference, we can make a difference.
O thou the Compassionate God. Bestow upon me a heart which, like unto a glass, maybe illumined with the light of thy love, and confer upon me thoughts which may change this world into a rose garden through the outpourings of heavenly grace. Thou art the Compassionate, the Merciful. Thou art the Great Beneficent God.

A glass of milk
A Glass of milk
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his ay through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk He drank it slowly, and then asked, How
much do I owe you?"
You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."
He said..... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Many years later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose
and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.
He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill.

"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."
Be ye sincerely kind, not in appearance only.

What I find effective about my junoir teacher
If you are a teacher or pioneer what I personally find effective in a junior youth class is that if you connect with the student like their your best friend. They will look up to you and listen because their anxious to listen to you its like having a normal conversation with friend. You have to be creative to get their attention or your wasting your time.

What I learned
I forgot to tell you but in my junior youth class I learned that if you say something hurtful to someone it will stay in their heart forever. Like a piece of paper if you crumble it and try to open it up it will never be the same. Another thing is that if you don't fail you can't succeed. Bye for now
